Unix Commands

In this lab, we started the introduction in UNIX. The four commands I used were whoami, finger, clear, and exit.

Whoami-this command brings up what user is on that steel account. I am not sure but i believe if one types in /user it brings up who is on it.

Finger-this gives the information of the username entered. It provides if there is unread mailm, what his full name is, etc. No counterpart.

Exit-this command disconnects the user from the server. The counterpart of this would be CTRL+ALT+DEL or Esc on Windows.

Clear-this deletes all information that is present on the screen. The counterpart of this would be either the Delete button or highlighting the text and hitting backspace.
